INDEPENDENT STUDY
Learning underwater photography fundamentals is a piece of cake with PADI eLearning. You'll explore the ins and outs of composition, shooting angles, lighting, and even photographer etiquette – all in a simple and fun way!
Take your time and learn at your own speed. Whether you're connected to the internet or not, you can access the lessons using a computer or mobile device. And guess what? You can reach out to your instructor whenever you have a question or need some inwater training.
Don't worry about spending too much time on it.
The eLearning experience will only take you 2-4 hours. So dive in, have a blast, and become an underwater photography pro in no time!
AT THE DIVE SHOP
In just two dives, you'll have a chance to try your hand at taking photos underwater using a compact camera or action camera. You can bring your own camera or ask about renting one. And don't worry, you don't need to be an expert yet! We'll show you the SEA (Shoot, Examine, Adjust) method to help you capture amazing shots.
To participate, you need to be a certified diver or a Jr. OW Diver (or have a qualifying certification). We want to make sure you're ready to dive into the fun! The whole experience will take two days, so you'll have plenty of time to explore and learn.
And hey, age is just a number! This adventure is open to anyone 10 years or older. So, grab your gear, bring your curiosity, and get ready for an unforgettable underwater photography journey!

Medical Requirements for this course
If you (or your physician) have questions about medical fitness to dive, contact the experts at Divers Alert Network (DAN).
Avoid disappointment, download and review the Diver Medical form to ensure you won’t need a physician’s approval to dive before enrolling in a scuba course. Instructors, divemasters, and dive shop staff are not physicians and should not be asked for medical advice; only medical professionals can give medical clearance to dive.
Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a physician before diving.

To become certified, this course combines both knowledge development and in-water training. When you buy PADI eLearning on our website, the cost covers the knowledge development part only.
To complete your certification with a PADI Instructor, there will be an extra cost. The price will vary depending on factors like class size, environment, and whether or not you need to rent equipment. For more details and pricing information, reach out to a PADI Dive Center or Resort.
In addition to basic scuba gear, you'll need a digital underwater camera and a computer or other device for downloading and viewing your images. Your PADI Pro might recommend more equipment and accessories based on your camera system.
Using your own camera, strobes, and other gear is ideal during the course. It allows you to get familiar with how they work and enhance your learning experience. So grab your gear and get ready to dive into the world of underwater photography!
I want to change the PADI Dive Center or Resort associated with my eLearning account. Can I do this?
Once registered, you can’t change the PADI Dive Center or Resort associated with your online program. However, the eRecord you receive when you complete your online study is accepted by any PADI Dive Center, Resort or Instructor worldwide. Where you complete your training is your choice, so it’s not necessary to change the store or instructor associated with your eLearning account.

If you go somewhere without internet access, or during your next flight use the PADI Training app. Download your course course content and study offline. Content can be downloaded in small sections with a total file size of approximately 1.10 GB. When you get back online, upload your progress so you can resume your training right where you left off.
The PADI Training app is available for Android™ and Apple® iOS devices. For the ideal experience, devices should be no more than three models old and running with the most current OS (operating system).
